Siemens Universal controllers RMU710B, RMU720B, RMU730B CE1P3150en
Building Technologies Operation 03.10.2011
2.2 Operation with operator unit
2.2.1 Operator unit functions
The operator unit is used to make the settings and readouts required for operation
of the controller. All entries made on the operator unit are transmitted to the
controller where they are handled and stored; the operator unit itself does not store
any data. The information for the user is generated by the controller and passed to
the operator unit where it is displayed.
2.2.2 Operating concept
On the software side, all settings and readout values are arranged as data points
(operating lines) of the menu tree. Using the operating elements, every operating
line can be selected, displayed or set. All menus appear on the LCD as plain text.
The controller has several languages preprogrammed; the required language is
activated during plant commissioning. The Operating Instructions for the end user
are included with the controller including the languages loaded on the controller.
