SED2 VFD LON Interface Option Operating Instructions
Troubleshooting
WARNING:
Make sure that the SED2 VFD is de-energized (off) before you install or remove the
LON Interface Option.
Status LED Functionality
A tri-color LED provides indication of current LON Interface Option operating status and error
conditions, such as if more than one SNVT is bound by LONWorks. Table 2 describes the LED
indication.
Table 2. LON Interface Option Status LED Indication.
LED Color &
State
Indication
Off No power is supplied.
Red, flashing A hardware fault or software error has occurred.
If this status is steady (remains flashing), the L
ON Interface Option or VFD could be
defective.
Red, on steady The LON Interface Option starts, but it does not communicate with the VFD; VFD
operation is disabled.
There could be a possible binding error on SNVT 9-13 or SNVT 14-18.
Green/Red
flashing
The LON Interface Option starts, and the VFD operates normally.
There could be a possible binding error on SNVT 19-23 or SNVT 24-28.
Yellow, flashing The LON Interface Option starts, and it communicates with the VFD.
There is no connection to the L
ONWorks network, or the network connector is not
inserted in the L
ON Interface Option, or the network connector is disconnected.
Yellow, on steady The LON Interface Option starts, it communicates with the VFD, and connection to the
L
ONWorks network is established.
No cyclical data exchange is occurring.
Green, flashing The LON Interface Option starts and it communicates with the VFD. The connection to
the L
ONWorks network is established and cyclical process data exchange is in
progress.
Setpoint data is invalid.
Green, on steady The LON Interface Option starts and it communicates with the VFD. The connection to
the L
ONWorks network is established and cyclical process data exchange is in
progress and OK.
