Managing Parameter Sets
A parameter set is a file that contains parameter numbers with corresponding parameter values. A
parameter set can contain all SED2 parameters or just some of the SED2 parameters. In offline
mode, parameter values can be read from and written to a parameter set, similar to programming
parameters for a drive that is connected in online mode. With EasyComm, you can generate as
many parameter sets as required, save them under different file names, and download them to
various drives.
When viewing parameters, the Parameters menu allows you to view them based on the following
categories:
Function groups:
inverter (SED2 Drive)
motor
commands and digital I/O’s (digital inputs and outputs)
ADC and DAC (analog inputs and outputs)
setpoint channel and RFG
drive features
motor control
communication
alarms/warnings/monitoring
technology controller (PID controller)
Quick commissioning
Factory settings
BiCo (binector/connector) functions
Selecting and Changing Parameter Values
You can select a parameter value (except read-only parameters) as follows:
1. Scroll to the desired parameter. Double-click anywhere in the row of that parameter. A dialog box for the
selected parameter appears.
2. Use the UP/DOWN arrow keys to locate the desired parameter. Press ENTER. A dialog box for the
selected parameter appears.
3. Select the P No. column and then enter the number of the parameter with no leading zeros. For
example, enter 100 for parameter P0100. Press ENTER. A dialog box for the selected parameter
appears.
4. Enter the desired value in the parameter dialog box and click OK.
