Comparing Parameter Sets
EasyComm provides two ways to compare parameter sets:
Creating a new parameter set based on a comparison of two existing parameter sets.
Comparing parameter values in two parameter sets.
Creating a Parameter Set by Comparing Two Parameter Sets
EasyComm can compare two existing parameter sets and put the result in a new comparison
parameter set. All parameters of the beginning parameter set are compared with parameters of a
selected parameter set. (The beginning parameter set is always the parameter set whose name
appears in the EasyComm title bar).
Every parameter of the beginning parameter set is compared with its parameter counterpart in the selected
parameter set.
− If the two values differ, then the beginning parameter value is entered in the resulting comparison parameter
set.
− If the two values are the same, the resulting parameter value appears blank.
If the parameter of the beginning parameter set does not exist in the selected parameter set, then the beginning
parameter value is entered in the resulting comparison parameter set.
Parameters of the selected parameter set that do not appear in the beginning parameter set are not entered into
the resulting comparison parameter set.
