Locle to form a competence center for

was chosen to undertake an expansion
and modernization of the facilities and
clean rooms at the Chemin Blanc 36 and
38 sites in Le Locle. This building complex
houses 1,200 people working on applica-
tions in fields such as neurosurgery, sports
medicine and orthopedics.
A long-standing relationship between
Johnson & Johnson and Siemens
As early as in 2002, Johnson & Johnson
was won over by the building manage-
ment, safety and security systems from
Siemens. At that time, the danger man-
agement system complete with motion
detectors as well as an access control and
time registration system were integrated
by Siemens.
The installed life science solutions from
Siemens have heightened safety and
security while increasing the efficiency
and operating reliability of the facilities
in Le Locle. Due to the comprehensive

Johnson can operate their modern, safe,
comfortable and optimized production site
at a highly efficient level with the support
of only a small team of engineers. From
the planning phase to building mainte-
nance, data administration and archiving,

made it possible to modernize and expand
the facilities and clean rooms to meet
all the regulatory requirements without
