Operating in Master Mode (Broadcast Operation)
In master mode, the network controls the SED2 VFDs either individually or by broadcast
operation. A broadcast operation can simultaneously start or stop all networked SED2 VFDs.
While in broadcast operation, note the following AOP functions:
Since parameters cannot be edited globally, does not function in a broadcast operation.
and still function in a broadcast operation. For example, it would be possible to change
the speed of a motor simultaneously across all networked SED2 VFDs.
If a „Communications Failure‟ displays, the screen also indicates which slave SED2 VFD is
not working correctly. Press to acknowledge the warning condition.
If the warning condition occurs again, the AOP assumes it is not connected to the SED2 VFD
and returns you to the main menu.
Operating in Slave Mode
The Advanced Operators Panel (AOP) can store up to 10 parameter sets. These parameter
sets can be backed up or restored using EasyComm and the AOP to PC interface kit
(P/N: SED2-PC-AOP-KIT).
This makes it possible to store parameter sets on a computer or an AOP. The AOP can be
pre-programmed previous to going to site for faster commissioning.
