Product Description
The EMC Filter cleans the three-phase power input to
a SED2 VFD E-Bypass Option.
Product Numbers
994-975 EMC filter package for bypass frame
sizes A and B.
994-976 EMC filter package for bypass frame size
C.
994-977 EMC filter package for bypass frame
sizes D and E.
944-978 EMC filter package for bypass frame
size F.

WARNING:
This equipment generates, uses and
radiates radio frequency energy. If not
installed and used in accordance with
the instructions manual, may cause
interference to radio communications.
Operation of this equipment in a
residential area may cause
interference. At their own expense,
users will be required to take whatever
measures to correct the interference.
Main short circuit protection and
disconnect by others. Branch circuit
protection to be provided by installer
per UL508A, if not provided with drive.
NOTE: E-Bypass with EMC Filter package has been
tested and found to comply with the limits for
a Class A digital device, pursuant to Part 15
of the FCC rules. These limits are designed
to provide reasonable protection against such
interference when operated in a commercial
environment.
Prerequisites
E-Bypass Option must be previously installed.
Installation
Filter Installation
See Figures 1 through 6 throughout this procedure.
CAUTIONS:
Make certain 3-phase line power supply is
OFF or disconnected.
Make certain disconnect switch or circuit
breaker in Bypass Option cabinet is OFF.
1. Locate and punch hole for conduit in Bypass
Option cabinet.
CAUTION:
Make certain metal filings do not fall into
Bypass Option cabinet.
2. Connect fitting and conduit to Bypass Option
cabinet.
3. Remove EMC filter enclosure cover and install
conduit fitting.
4. Align conduit from Bypass Option into fitting on
EMC filter enclosure and mount EMC filter
enclosure on wall. Secure conduit in place.
