Ferrite Bead Installation

NOTES:
• Ferrite beads are not required for Frame size F
installation.
• Wires leading to Mains line and Motor must be
as short as possible.
• Locate the ferrite beads no more than 1-inch
(25 mm) from SED2 VFD.
• Keep the ferrite beads as close together as
possible.
• Loop top and bottom ferrite beads tightly to avoid
slippage.
Wiring
See Figure 11 throughout this procedure.
CAUTIONS:
•
Make certain 3-phase line power supply is
OFF or disconnected.
•
Make certain disconnect switch or circuit
breaker in Bypass Option cabinet is OFF.
1. Route wiring between Bypass Option cabinet and
filter enclosure through conduit.
2. Connect wiring to disconnect switch or circuit
breaker in Bypass Option cabinet.
3. Connect wiring from Bypass Option to filter.
4. Connect power to filter, see Figure 11.
CAUTIONS:
• Make certain 3-phase line power
supply is OFF or disconnected.
• Personnel certified to work with high
voltage must complete 3-phase line
power wiring.
