Mechanical environmental conditions
The table below sets out the mechanical environmental conditions for the TS Adapter II in
the form of sinusoidal vibrations.
Table A-4 Mechanical environmental conditions
Frequency range in Hz Test values
10 ≤ f < 58 0.075 mm amplitude
58 ≤ f < 500 9.81 m/s
2
constant acceleration
Reduction of vibrations
If the TS Adapter II is subject to greater shocks or vibrations, you must take suitable
measures in order to reduce the acceleration or amplitude.
We recommend the installation of the TS Adapter II on damping materials (for example,
rubber-metal vibration dampers).
Testing for Mechanical Environmental Conditions
The following table provides information about the type and scope of testing for mechanical
environmental conditions.
Table A-5 Test for mechanical environmental conditions
Test Test Standard Remarks
Vibrations Vibration test in
accordance with IEC
60068-2-6 (sinusoidal)
Type of vibration: frequency sweeps with a rate of
change of 1 octave/minute.
10 Hz ≤ f < 58 Hz, constant amplitude of 0.075 mm
58 Hz ≤ f < 500 Hz, constant acceleration of
9.81 m/s
2
Duration of vibration: 10 frequency cycles per axis
in each of the 3 perpendicular axes
Shock Shock impact test to IEC
60068-2-29
Type of shock: half-sine
Type of shock: 150 m/s
2
peak value, 11 ms period
Direction of shock: 100 shocks on each of the 3
perpendicular axes
