Usage
Selector valve for Sinorix ™ extinguishant systems H2O Gas, multi zone with different amount of H2O gas
cylinders per sector.

This corresponds to following pressures of an extinguishant cylinder:
H20 Gas 300:  N2 300 bar (@ 15° C) / H20 Gas 200:  N2 200 bar (@ 15° C)
The selector valve is normally closed. In case of fire the solenoid valve close to the drive gear of the selector valve
will be activated by the central unit and already existing control gas pressure before the solenoid valve flows into
the two corresponding drive gears of the selector valves (extinguishing and pressurize H2O cylinders). The drive
gears open immediately the selector valves. The opening time is approximately 1 second. The selector valves are
ready now for the flooding of the extinguishant agent and the control part to pressurize the water cylinders into the
corresponding extinguishant zone.
In case of decreasing control pressure or deactivating of the solenoid valve the selector valves remain in open
position. After a flooding the selector valves have to be closed by trained and qualified personnel only with the
corresponding tool.
The open and closed position of the selector valve is optical visible.
The valve position is supervised with limit switches in all positions.
The extinguishant pilot cylinders may not be activated before the activation of the solenoid valve close to
the drive gear of the selector valve.
The following activation concept guaranties this:
1. Electrical activation of cylinder valve control cylinder control gas for opening selector valve
2. Electrical activation of solenoid valve selector valve drive gear  opening selector valve
3. Electrical activation of corresponding pilot cylinders opening extinguishant cylinders
Coefficient of drag / flow characteristics
The coefficient is only of importance during flooding at a selector valve in opened position.
Is the inlet pipe diameter ø DI smaller or identical to the selector valve ball boring øLW the selector valve
length can be calculated as an equivalent piece of pipe. The selector valve gets the full pressure from the
extinguishant battery. But afterwards the H20 orifice will reduce the pressure and flow to approx. 70bar to
pressurize the water cylinders.
