Product Description 1 Product Description The Advanced Central Controller (ACC) is a high performance access control and security field panel. The ACC is installed as the main hardware component of a Siemens integrated access control and security solution. The ACC is capable of hosting multiple access control and security applications from a single panel, including access management for up to 96 doors (only with firmware version 2.30.xx or higher).
Technical Data 3 Technical Data UL Listed power supplies are required to power external devices when used in a UL installation. Power Supply Input Power 24 V DC, +20/-10% Consumption Max. 10 W fully loaded (no Battery charging) RTC Battery 3.

Configuration 6 Configuration Prerequisites: The FLN devices are connected to the ACC. See Section 7.2.1: FLN Device Load Calculation. Cabling (RS-485 / RS-422 / RS-232 / Power). See Section 7.2: Connections. 1. Start the Windows HyperTerminal software on a Windows PC with a serial port. 2. Configure HyperTerminal for connection to the ACC via the serial Port of the PC (9600 baud, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no parity and no Flow control). 3.
Configuration Once download is complete, boot the ACC using the boot command in the HyperTerminal window. Once the initial version of firmware has been downloaded, new versions can be updated using SiPass integrated. 6.2 Programming Commands NOTE The programming commands may differ depending on the bootloader/application version used. The following table outlines the main commands used to configure the ACC using the HyperTerminal software.
Connections and LEDs 7 Connections and LEDs 7.
Connections and LEDs 7.2 Connections 1. Connect an Ethernet cable (from the same network as the host system) to the 10/100 port on the ACC. 2. Connect the local devices to each of the 6 FLN ports on the ACC. See Section 7.2.1: FLN Device Load Calculation. Up to 16 devices can be connected to each FLN port, for a total of 96 devices per ACC. NOTE z Ensure that the polarity of each connection is correct. z Ensure that the cable shield for each FLN channel is continuous and grounded at one end only.
Connections and LEDs 7.2.2 Recommended Cable Specifications Please note The following table provides a guideline for selecting an appropriate cable type for connection of an integrated security system only. Other cable types are also compatible with the system and can be used to achieve the same results.
Connections and LEDs 7.3 LEDs The following table describes the operation of the LEDs located on the ACC: LED Brief Description IS 422/485 When the LED is ON, the “ISa” port will be configured to operate in RS-422 / RS-485 mode. When the LED is OFF, the “ISa” port is configured to operate in RS-232 mode. TX When the LED is flashing, the ACC is transmitting data on the ISa / ISb ports. RX When the LED is flashing, the ACC is receiving data on the ISa / ISb ports.
Maintenance 8 Maintenance All electrical and electronic products should be disposed of separately from the municipal waste stream via designated collection facilities appointed by the government or the local authorities. This crossed-out wheeled bin symbol on the product means the product is covered by the European Directive 2002/96/EC. The correct disposal and separate collection of your old appliance will help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health.
