** Application not recommended for 50mm (2”) I.D. nozzles longer than 100mm (4”). Shielded
rod antennas are available for these applications.

Notes:
If water or process fluids enter
the connecting threads, this can
cause reflections at the
connection. These reflections will
appear as false echoes.
Apply Teflon paste to the threads,
and tighten slowly. Ensure that
the rod sections mate securely
with no gaps. Do not apply too
much Teflon paste or the parts
will not mate securely.
Do not use wrenches or pliers.
Hand tighten only.
Ideally, the nozzle should be as short as possible. If your
application requires a nozzle that exceeds our
recommended maximum length, consider using a shielded
rod configuration.
If you create a new nozzle for the radar unit, the weld
seams must be on the outside of the nozzle. Ensure that
there are no seams or lips on the inside of the nozzle or you
may get erratic readings.
