Normal start up takes about 2 seconds to power up the unit. If something (such as
hesitation in plugging in the unit) causes a rapid power fluctuation, the unit will shut
down for 10 seconds to ensure the inrush current will not exceed specified limits.

This instrument features a universal power supply. AC or DC voltage may be applied
to the same terminals.
Power consumption will vary according to voltage. Please see Appendix V, Typical
Power Consumption, on page 107.
