2.7.6 LOCT, List Message Buffer in Octal
Operation LOCT provides an octal code listing of messages held in the CMB.
As in Operation LIST messages may also be selected according to Time Interval or
Message Category.
Operation LOCT is mainly for diagnostic purposes.

2.7.7 DEL, Cancel Outstanding Messages
Messages which cannot be output for some reason (e.g. terminal "Out of Service") are
simply queued in the CMB. Often they can cause a flood of message outputs whenever
such an output terminal is brought back on line.
Operation DEL can cancel such a flood of messages without actually deleting messages
held in the CMB. They are simply not printed out.
There are various cancel operations which may be separately specified, according to,
–
Message Channels (M1..M15)
and
–
Message priority (MSGP=0..3)
