General safety information Intended use – For private domestic use only. – The washer dryer is suitable for machine washable textiles and hand washable wool and for drying certain types of textiles according to care instructions. – The appliance is suitable for operation with cold mains water and commercially available detergents and care products which are suitable for use in a washer dryer.
Safety for children Warning Danger of death! If children play with the washer dryer, they may get into lifethreatening situations or injure themselves. – Do not leave children unattended near the washer dryer. – Do not let children play with the washer dryer. Warning Danger of death! Children may lock themselves in appliances, putting their lives at risk. For appliances that have reached the end of their service life: – Disconnect the mains plug.
Environmental protection/ economy tips – Separate out the various waste materials of the packaging and take them to the nearest collection point. – Always fill the appliance with the maximum amount of laundry for each programme. – Wash normally soiled laundry without a prewash. – Instead of Cottons 90 °C, choose the programme Cottons 60 °C, X Intensiv → page 13. Similar cleaning performance with considerably lower energy consumption.
Your new washer-dryer Description of the washer dryer The washer-dryer can be used in 3 ways → page 17: – washing only, – drying only, – successive washing and drying. The successive wash-dry programme shifts automatically from the wash cycle to the dry cycle without further intervention. Drying is achieved using the condensation principle. The condensate that is produced during drying runs via the drain hose into the drain tank.
Control panel Indicator lamps Indicate the settings that have been selected for: – Spin speed: $ - 1400 rpm (depending on the model). – Washing options / signal. Display panel Shows the settings that have been selected (e.g. spin speed, drying time), the progress of the current programme and the programme status. Programme progress N ' B ˆ ! Before washing for the first time The washer-dryer was tested before leaving the factory. To remove any water that may be left over from the test, do not load any laundry the first time that you run a wash programme. Make sure that the transport safety bolts on the rear of the washerdryer have been removed → page 26. Do not load any laundry. Close the door. Turn on the tap. Pull out the detergent drawer. Add ½ a measuring cup of detergent to compartment II → page 11.
Sorting laundry for drying Only dry laundry that is labelled "suitable for tumble-drying" or which has the following care symbols: Care label Sorting laundry according to the information on the care labels Type of laundry a Dry at normal temperature. ` Dry at low temperature (delicate drying). Do not wash the following fabrics in the washer-dryer: – Laundry with the care symbol b. – Airtight fabrics (e.g. rubber-coated fabrics).
Detergents and Care Products The detergent drawer is divided into three compartments Detergent drawer Compartment I : detergent for prewash. Compartment II : detergent for main wash, Compartment i : Liquid additives, such as starch or fabric softener. Additives are automatically dispensed during the final rinse cycle. – Do not exceed the maximum capacity, otherwise compartment i may be emptied too early. – Dilute viscous additives with water to prevent blockages.
Normally soiled laundry Measuring washing powder Set the programme. Do not select ! (Prewash) → page 15. Add all the detergent, according to the manufacturer's instructions, to compartment II of the detergent drawer. Heavily soiled laundry Set the programme. Select ! (Prewash) → page 15. Add 1/4 of the recommended amount of detergent to compartment I of the detergent drawer and 3/4 of the detergent to compartment II. Only use liquid detergent for the main wash cycle with no prewash.
Programmes The programme selector is used to set the washing and drying programmes. Programme selector i Washing programmes (Depends on the model) The time remaining until the end of the programme and the recommended load are shown on the display panel. Cottons Suitable for hard-wearing fabrics, heat-resistant fabrics made from cotton or linen. – Coloureds up to 60 °C. – Whites 60 °C to 90 °C.
Special programmes Fluff Clean i The drum must be empty. This programme is designed to clean the drying cycle of any fluff deposits. The washer-dryer uses the flashing symbol l (Fluff removal cycle) in the display panel to show that this programme must be run. The electronic cycle counter is then automatically reset. The 7 (Fluff removal cycle) symbol goes out after the programme starts.
Washing and drying options Spin rpm button The spin speed can be individually adjusted for each programme. To set the spin speed, press the Spin rpm button repeatedly until the required spin speed is displayed. Rinse Hold $ (Rinse stop) deactivates the spin function. The laundry remains in the rinsing water. Unbalanced load detection system The automatic unbalanced load detection system ensures that the laundry is evenly distributed using several initial spins.
The drying programmes → page 13 can be individually adapted by selecting the drying time. – Press the Dry button repeatedly until the required drying time is shown on the display panel. – To deactivate, press the Dry button repeatedly until is shown on the display panel. Dry button Drying option Time-controlled drying The required drying time can be set to between 2:40 and 0:00 by repeatedly pressing the Dry button. Press Start/Pause to start the selected programme.
Washing and drying Set the programme selector to the desired programme, e.g. Cottons 60°C. – 0 (Remaining time) and the recommended load in kg are shown alternately on the display panel. The ! symbol flashes. Washing only i If necessary, adjust the spin speed and select any washing options for your individualised programme → page 15. – The Dry function must not be activated. Load the laundry → page 10. – Observe the maximum load, Programme table → page 30. Press the Start/Pause button.
The washing and drying programmes are ended automatically. appears on the display panel. End of the programme Set the program selector to Off. Remove the washing from the drum. Leave the door open so that the inside of the washer-dryer can dry out. Turn off the tap (not necessary on models with Aqua-Stop).
Cleaning and care Safety information Risk of electric shock You must disconnect the appliance from the mains first. Never clean the washer-dryer with a water jet! Risk of explosion. Never clean the washer-dryer with solvents. Risk of scalding Hot washing water must be cooled before draining. Housing and control panel Drum Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Remove detergent and cleaning agent residue immediately. Do not clean with a jet of water. Remove any foreign bodies from the drum and rubber seals.
Drain pump Turn the programme selector to Off. Use a screwdriver to release the lock pins. Tip the kick panel and pull upwards to remove. Draining the water Take the drain hose out of the retainer. Remove the plug from the drain hose and release the washing water. – The container for the drained water may have to be emptied several times. – When no more water runs out, replace the plug. Place the drain hose into the retainer. Cleaning the drain pump Unscrew the pump cover.
What to do if... Risk of electric shock. Repairs must only be carried out by customer services or authorised technicians. If repairs are needed, or if you cannot rectify a fault yourself with the help of the following table: Fault code Set the program selector to Off. Disconnect the washer dryer from the power supply. Turn off the tap. Call the after-sales service → page 24. Description of the problem The door is not properly closed. Close the door. The water control system has been activated.
Water is not flowing in. Intense vibrations during spinning. The mains plug is not correctly plugged in. Plug in the mains plug correctly. The door is not properly closed. Close the door. The tap is not turned on. Turn on the tap. The filter in the water supply hose is blocked. Clean the filter in the water supply hose → page 20. The water supply hose is pinched or kinked. Check the water inlet hose. The washer-dryer is not correctly levelled. Level the washer-dryer → page 27.
Drying result not satisfactory. The laundry clings to the sides of the drum after being spun. Loosen up the laundry by hand; start the drying programme → page 17. Closed tap Maximum load exceeded. Drying time selected too short. Turn on the tap. Reduce the load for the programme accordingly → page 30. Select the drying time according to the load and the type of fabric.
After-sales service Before you call the after-sales service, please check whether you can correct the fault yourself → page 21. You will be charged if a technician is called out, even during the warranty period. Installation instructions Safety information The washer-dryer is very heavy. Take care when lifting it. Do not operate the washer-dryer if it has any visible damage. If you are in any doubt, please consult our after-sales service or your retailer. Do not install the washer-dryer outdoors or in areas exposed to frost. Frozen hoses can crack or burst. As a result, the washer-dryer could be damaged. Do not stand the washer-dryer upside down or on its side. Do not lift the washer-dryer by protruding parts (e.

Positioning Levelling Slide sheets facilitate the insertion of the washer-dryer into the installation space. These can be ordered from the after-sales service, spare part no. 66 1827. Moisten the slide sheets with a mixture of water and washing-up liquid before sliding the washer-dryer into place. Do not use grease and/or oil. Intense noise, vibrations and “wandering” may be the result of incorrect levelling. – All four appliance feet must stand firmly on the ground. – The washer-dryer must not wobble.

Water drainage Drainage into a siphon – Do not kink the drain hose or pull it lengthways. – Height difference between the installation surface and the drain: max. 90 cm, min. 50 cm. Secure the connection with the 24-40 mm hose clamp (included with the appliance). Electrical connection The washer-dryer must only be connected to an alternating current supply via a properly installed earthed socket.
