Detergent drawer L Intelligent Dosing System (i-Dos): Your washing machine features an intelligent dosing system for liquid detergent and softener. Dispensers i-Dos ô (1.3 l) and i-Dos iIô (0.5 l) in the detergent drawer are used for this. You can select whether you want to use one liquid detergent and one softener or two liquid detergents. Depending on the selected programme and settings, the optimum amounts of detergent/ softener are dosed via the i-Dos containers.

The programme duration is adjusted while the programme is running if the programme duration requires changing, e.g. due to changes in the programme settings/ options, foam detection, unbalanced load detection, the load or soiling. Washing During the wash cycle the programme progress is indicated by a bar on the display panel. The bar progresses in the course of the wash cycle and provides information about the current programme progress. The arrows are switched on and off according to the programme progress. They indicate the programme settings/options which can be changed/added as the programme progresses.
Ø Topping up washing When the programme has started, washing can be reloaded or taken out as required. Anti-stain system General information about stains The Stains additional programme option for treating special stains can be found via the Ö Options button. A total of 16 different stains can be selected. The washing machine adjusts the washing temperature, drum movement and soaking time specific to the type of stain. Hot or cold water, gentle or intensive washing control and long or short soaking provide the wash programme with a special sequence for each type of stain.
Intelligent Dosing System Your washing machine features an intelligent dosing system for liquid detergent and softener. Ø Use only self-flowing liquid products and gels which the Ø Ø Ø Ø Ø manufacturer recommends adding to a detergent drawer. Do not mix different liquid detergents. If changing the liquid detergent (type, manufacturer, ...), empty the dispenser completely. ~ Page 41 Do not use any solvent-based, corrosive or gas-emitting products (e.g. liquid beach). Do not mix detergent and softener. Do not use any superimposed or highly thickened products.
Ø Reloading detergent/softener The flashing of the associated illuminated display when intelligent dosage is selected and a corresponding message on the display panel indicate that the level is below the minimum. There are still enough contents for approx. 3 washes. The same detergent or softener can be topped up at any time. If the product/manufacturer is changed, we recommend cleaning the dispensers beforehand. ~ Page 41 If required, adjusting the basic dosage.
Ø If intensive foaming occurs repeatedly during washing, pleas check the basic dosage setting and dosage strength. Furthermore, some liquid detergents may have a tendency to excessive foaming. If the basic dosage settings and dosage strengths are correct, it is recommended to use a different liquid detergent. Change basic dosage amount. ~ Page 38 Ø If required, convert i-Dos iIô dispenser contents. Instead of softener, a second liquid detergent can also be used in dispenser i-Dos iIô.
Manual dosage In the case of programmes in which intelligent dosage is not possible or not requested (then set intelligent dosage to off), detergent is added to detergent drawer À Á. Sensors – Your washing machine is so intelligent Load adjust Depending on the type of textile and load, the load adjust optimally adjusts the water consumption in each programme. Aqua-Sensor During the wash and rinse cycles the Aqua sensor checks the degree of turbidity (turbidity is caused by dirt and detergent residue) of the washing and rinsing water.

i-Dos Clean the detergent drawer Ø Drain dispensers The dispensers have drainage openings with removable stoppers in the front area. To drain the dispensers, first remove the drawer handle as illustrated: 1. Open detergent drawer. 2. Pull release lever (A) on the back of the drawer handle (bottom middle) gently towards yourself and simultaneously ... ... pull up released drawer handle (B). 3.
3. Press release lever and completely remove drawer. 4. Carefully remove drawer cover. m Caution! Detergent drawer may be damaged! The detergent drawer contains electrical components. They may be damaged if they come into contact with water. – Do not clean the cover in the dishwasher and do not immerse in water. – Protect rear drawer plug from moisture, detergent or softener residue; if required clean outer surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Dry before re-inserting. 5.
Drain pump blocked m Warning! Danger of scalding! Wash liquor is hot when washing at high temperatures. You may be scalded if you touch the hot wash liquor. Allow wash liquor to cool down. ² Turn the tap off to prevent more water from flowing in and to ensure that it is drained via the pump. 1. Switch off the device. Pull out the mains plug. 2. Open service flap. 3. Remove service flap. 4. Take the drainage hose out of the holder. Remove the sealing cap, drain water into a suitable receptacle.
7. Insert service flap (1), engage (2) and close (3). ² To prevent unused detergent from flowing into the outlet during the next wash cycle: Pour approx. 1 litre of water into dispenser À Á and start the Drain programme. Drainage hose on the siphon blocked 1. Switch off the appliance. Pull out the mains plug! Note: Residual water may run out! 2. Loosen hose clip, carefully remove drainage hose. 3. Clean drainage hose and siphon spigot. 4.
Filter blocked in water inlet hose First, release water pressure in the supply hose: 1. Turn off the tap! 2. Select any programme (except Spin/Drain). 3. Select Start/Reload Ü. Leave programme for approx. 40 seconds. 4. Press the # button. Appliance is switched off. Pull out the mains plug! 5. Clean the filter: Disconnect the hose from the water tap. Clean filter with small brush. and/or for standard and Aqua-Secure models: Remove hose from the rear of the appliance. Take out filter with pliers and clean.
Emergency release The programme continues running when the power supply is restored. If the washing is still to be removed, the door can be opened as described below: m Warning! Danger of scalding! Wash liquor and washing may be hot. If touched, there is a risk of scalding. If required, leave to cool down. m Caution! Danger when reaching into/gripping the rotating drum! If you reach into the rotating drum, you may injure your hands. Do not grip the rotating drum. Wait until the drum stops rotating.
Information on the display panel Display Cause/Remedy The door cannot be locked, please open the door again, then close it and select "start/pause". – Washing may be caught. Installing the appliance on a base or on a wooden joist ceiling m Warning! Washing machine may be damaged!! The washing machine may wander during the spin cycle and topple/fall off the base. Always secure the washing machine feet with fixing brackets. Holding brackets: order no. WMZ 2200, WX 9756, CZ 110600, Z 7080X0 ² If installing on a wooden joist ceiling: – If possible, install the washing machine in a corner. – Screw a water-resistant wooden panel (min. 30 mm thick) to the floor.
Remove transportation protection devices m Caution! Washing machine may be damaged! Transit bolts which have not been removed may damage e.g. the drum while the washing machine is running. Before using the appliance for the first time, remove the 4 transportation protection devices completely and keep in a safe place. m Caution! Washing machine may be damaged! To prevent damage in transit when transporting the washing machine subsequently, always re-install the transit bolts prior to transportation.
3. Loosen and remove all 4 transportation lock screws. 4. Take the power cord out of the holders. Remove sleeves. 5. Insert covers. ² Lock covers firmly by pressing on the locking hook.
Connecting the water m Warning! Danger of death from electric shock! Danger of death if live parts are touched. Do not immerse Aqua-Stop safety device in water (contains an electric valve). ² – To prevent leakage or water damage, follow the instructions in this chapter! – Operate the washing machine with cold drinking water only. – Do not connect to the mixer tap of an unpressurised hotwater apparatus.

Drainage into a siphon m Warning! Water damage possible! If the drainage hose slips off the siphon connection due to high water pressure when draining the washing machine, leaking water may cause damage. Connection point must be secured with hose clip, Ø 24–40 mm (specialist outlet).
Alignment 1. Loosen lock nut in a clockwise direction with a wrench. 2. Check alignment of the washing machine with a spirit level and, if required, correct. Adjust the height by rotating the foot. ² All four feet must be firmly on the floor. The washing machine must not wobble! 3. Tighten the lock nut against the housing. Grip the foot and do not adjust the height.
Electrical connection Electrical safety m Warning! Danger of death from electric shock! Danger of death if live parts are touched. – Never pull out the mains plug by tugging the power cord. – Insert/pull out the mains plug with dry hands only. – Never pull out the mains plug during operation. – Connect the washing machine to an alternating current via a correctly installed earthed socket only. – The mains voltage and voltage specifications on the washing machine (appliance rating plate) must match.
Before the 1st washing The washing machine was inspected thoroughly before leaving the factory. To remove any water left over from testing procedures, the first washing cycle should be carried out without laundry in the machine. ² The washing machine must have been installed and connected properly.
