The AirCard modem as a

TheAirCardmodemcanbe configuredtoprovidethe
“always‐on”dataconnectionthatanEthernetcardorother
wiredLANcardprovides.Thatis,youcansetoptionsin
Watcher™(aprogramthatcomeswiththe AirCardmodem)
thatcausestheAirCardmodemtoestablishanetwork
connectionwheneveryou
insertit,assumingGSM,GPRS,
EDGE,UMTS,orHSDPAserviceisavailable.Otherwise,you
canconfigureWatchertoconnectonlywhenyouclickthe
Connectbutton.
TheAirCardmodemconnectionprovidesaccesstothe
Internet.Oncetheconnectionisestablished,youcanopenyour
browserandconnecttoanywebsite
availableontheInternet,
oraccessotherInternetservices(suchase‐ma il).
