usedin
anormalmannerwithawell‐constructednetwork,the
SierraWirelessmodemshouldnotbeusedinsituationswhere
failuretotransmitorreceivedatacouldresultindamageof
anykindtotheuseroranyotherparty,includingbutnot
limitedtopersonal injury,death,orlossof

TheCompassUSBmodemMUSTBEPOWEREDOFFinall
areasthatmaybesusceptibletoradiointerference,in
particular:
• Prohibitedareas
Obeyallsignsandnoticesandfollowallrulesandregula‐
tions.PowerofftheCompass888USBmodemwhen
instructedtodosoorwhenyoususpectthat
itmaycause
interferenceordanger.
• Inareaswhereblastingisinprogress
• Whereexplosiveatmospheresmaybepresent
Areaswithapotentiallyexplosiveatmospherearenot
alwaysclearlymarked.Suchareasincludegasstations,
fueldepots,chemicaltransferorstoragefacilities,areas
whereblastingisinprogress,areaswherethe
aircontains
chemicalsorparticlessuchasgrain,dust,ormetalpow‐
ders,andanyotherareawhereyouwouldnormallybe
advisedtoturnoffyourcellularphoneorvehicleengine.

Medicalequipmentmaybesusceptibletoanyformof

modemcantransmitsignalsthatcouldinterferewiththis
equipment.
