AWGN
Press I/Q->AWGN to enter the AWGN setting menu. You can use AWGN (Additive
White Gaussian Noise) to modulate the Carrier waveform.
Use the following steps to apply 10 MHz bandwidth noise to a 1 GHz, 0 dBm carrier.
1) Press I/Q -> AWGN -> Bandwidth to set the noise bandwidth as 10 MHz.
2) Press I/Q -> AWGN -> AWGN State to set the AWGN state on. At the same time,
an “AWGN” icon will display on the state bar.
3) Turn on the I/Q MOD module switch on the main page, or set MOD ON/OFF to on.
4) Configure the RF output, and set the Frequency as 1 GHz, set the Amplitude as 0
dBm, set RF ON/OFF on.
The carrier with AWGN is now available at the signal generator’s [RF OUTPUT 50Ω]
connector.
I/Q Control
Press I/Q -> I/Q Control to enter the I/Q Control setting menu. The I/Q Control menu
not only enables you to select the I/Q signal source and output, it also provides
adjustments and calibrations to compensate for differences in the I and Q signals.
