I/Q Mod State
Turn on or off the I/Q modulation. When turn on the Custom, Multitone, ARB or AWGN
state, the I/Q Mod State will be automatically turned on.
I/Q Source
Set the I/Q modulation source to internal or external.
InternalUse the internal signal generated by the signal generator as modulation
source.
ExternalThe signal generator accepts externally supplied analog I and Q signals
as modulation sources via the [I INPUT] and [Q INPUT] connectors on the rear panel.
For example
1. Connect the I and Q signals to the rear panel connectors.
a. Connect an analog I signal to signal generator’s rear panel [I INPUT].
b. Connect an analog Q signal to the signal generator’s rear panel [Q INPUT].
2. Set the signal generator to recognize the rear panel input signals:
Press I/Q->I/Q Control->I/Q Source, and set it as External.
3. Turn on the I/Q Mod State.
4. Configure the RF output:
a. Set the carrier frequency.
