11.3 Frequently asked questions
Can I change the batteries myself?
The ROX 10.0 GPS uses an integrated lithium ion rechargeable battery that you
can not change yourself.
All lithium ion batteries will lose capacity over time and/or after a large number
of charge cycles. In spite of this fact, even after several years and many charges,
their capacity remains at approx. 75%.
Please contact our customer service team if you have problems or questions
about your battery.
If you plan to store the ROX 10.0 GPS for an extended period of time
(i.e. - winter), please store at room temperature. The pre-storage charge
should be approx. 60%
The battery will not fully charge
Please disconnect the micro USB cable from the ROX 10.0 GPS and reconnect it
after 20 seconds.
Can I charge the ROX 10.0 GPS while riding?
Yes. The ROX 10.0 GPS can be charged while in use if using an external battery
source (i.e. SIGMA IICON). This will greatly extend operating time. Please note
that the protective cover is open while charging, therefore the ROX 10.0 GPS is
no longer waterproof.
A crossed out battery icon has appeared on the display. What should I do?
The ROX 10.0 GPS is too warm and must cool down.
Never try to charge the battery when the icon is shown, please allow time for
cooling. The battery should only be charged at room temperature.
