DIGITAL ZOOM
The DP1 camera is equipped with a digital zoom function.
TO SET DIGITAL ZOOM

Press the  button to open [ Shooting Menu]. 

Use the buttons to select [Digital Zoom] and press the button.

Select [On] by using the buttons.

Press the  button or the  button to apply the setting or the  button
to close the sub-menu without making any changes.

Press
to increase magnification or  to decrease
magnification.


TIP
x Digital zoom can magnify the subject up to 3 times in 8 steps.
x This function is availale in still image and movie modes.
x It is possible to enlarge or reduce the size of the subject during the movie
shooting.
WARNING !!
x To disable the digital zoom, please select [Off] in step 3 .
x The digital zoom function cannot be used when RAW mode is selected.
x If RAW mode is selected, the digital zoom will temporarily disable. If another
image quality mode is selected, the digital zoom will reactivate.
x Increasing the magnification of the digital zoom will reduce the image
resolution negatively.
x Increasing the magnication of the digital zoom will also increase the
possiblity of blur caused by camera shake.
x The digital zoom function cannot be used when the camera is in MF mode.
