14.2 Option board with 3 AFNOR outputs
This option board does not require any software programming (by default the
time is the local time dened in the Sigma and the line is stopped). Only the
time zone differential and the state of the line (On / Off) is to be dened in the
“Time outputs” technician menu (see page 36).
Connect the clock lines on outputs A, B and C.
Each output allows up to 50 clocks to be synchronised over 30 km.
Remark: the 3 outputs supply the same time. To have time distribution lines
with different times, they must be programmed on different option boards.
If a short-circuit is detected on the line, an “AFNOR fault” error message is
displayed (if the programming permits) on the readout of the master clock.
If an AFNOR board occupies a slot, it takes the corresponding output numbers
(Slot number + 3 (3 corresponds to the rst 3 outputs already assigned)) with
a letter ABC. For example, if a board with 3 AFNOR outputs is placed in slot 1,
the outputs will be 4A, 4B and 4C (useful for alarm information).
Remark: in the “Time outputs” technician menu, “DEL” mode is used only to
uninstall an option board from the master clock.
