1Strap Hinge Installation Instructions

INSTRUCTIONS

Unpack and inspect the product for any

shipping damages. If you ﬁnd damages, do not

install. Contact Customer Service at

questions while installing your strap hinge

contact Customer Service.

We recommend consulting a professional if

you are unfamiliar with installing hardware

ﬁxtures. Signature Hardware accepts no liability

for any damage to the hinge or door, or for

personal injury during installation.

TOOLS AND MATERIALS:

Read the installation instructions below.

Observe all local building and safety codes.

BEFORE INSTALLING INSTALLATION

1. Determine and mark the hinge mounting location. If the door

or gate is very heavy, position the hinges approximately 5" from

the top and 10" from the bottom; otherwise, use a tape measure

to position the top and bottom hinges an equal distance from

the top and bottom edges of the door or gate.

2. Drill pilot holes in the locations marked in the previous step.

3. Secure the hinges to the door using the provided

mounting screws.

4. Hold the door in place or support the door with a wood plank

to mark the mounting locations on the door frame.

5. Drill pilot holes in the locations marked in the previous step.

6. Secure the hinges to the door frame with the provided

mounting screws.
