GETTING STARTED

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Read the installation instructions below. Observe all

local building and safety codes.

Unpack and inspect the product for any shipping

damages. If you ﬁnd damages, do not install. Contact

Customer Service at 1-866-855-2284. If you need

assistance or have questions while installing your

door handle and plate set, contact Customer Service.

We recommend consulting a professional if you are

unfamilar with installing hardware ﬁxtures. Signature

hardware accepts no liability for any damage to the

handle, lock set, door, or personal injury during

installation.

Note: Knob sets may include extra screws or other

hardware.

Ensure that you have gathered all the required

materials that are needed for the installation.

For these instructions, it is assumed that any holes for

the handle and lock set have been pre-drilled.

D U M M Y, P A S S A G E , & P R I V A C Y S E T INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS DUMMY SET INSTALLATION 1. Place the dummy spindle on the door in the door knob location. Then, use the dummy spindle as a template to mark and drill pilot holes for the mounting hardware. 3. Thread the door knob onto the dummy spindle. 2. Secure the spindle to the door with the provided wood screws. Then, thread the decorative escutcheon onto the dummy spindle.

The curved edge should touch the frame when the door is closed. 3. Insert the latch bolt and secure with two wood screws. Note: If the latch bolt plate is not ﬂush with the door, carefully chisel, or mortise, a small part of the door. 4. Push in the latch bolt and thread the passage spindle through the door. 2.

Insert the interior door knob, ﬁtting it over the spindle and aligning the screws holes. 7. Place a small amount of paint or chalk on the end of the latch bolt. Then, close the door and turn the knob several times to transfer the paint onto the door frame to mark the strike plate location. 6.
