9Island Mount Range Hood Installation Instructions
Caution: Make sure the support frame î‚¿xture is secure before
releasing.
4. As shown in Figure 4A, 4B and 4C, slide in both upper chimney and
lower chimney, pay extra attention to sharp edges on the chimneys
and minimize chimney movements to avoid scratches on the chim-
neys. You may use a screwdriver to prevent them from sliding down
as illustrated in Figure 4C. Make sure the screwdriver can withstand
the weight.
5. Recirculating (Non-Vented) Kit: If Re-Circulat-
ing Kit is not purchased, skip this step. Place the
air diverter directly above the range hood with its 6"
round hole facing downward and secure it with four
(4) 4mm x 8mm philips head tapping screws.
6. Install the duct set onto the body of the hood by
using six (6) 4mm x 16mm phillips head tapping
screws. Install aluminum duct tube on the duct set
and make sure all joints are secured and air tight.
Note: Due to excessive weight, two or more people
are recommended for this step.
7. Install the hood body onto the support frame and
secure it with sixteen (16) 4mm x 16mm phillips head
tapping screws, see Figure 6A. Make sure the hood
is secure before releasing. Run the duct tube and
power cord through the top support plate above the
ceiling, see Figure 6B.
