EDID Learning
EDID is used to transmit the make, model and
characteristics of a monitor to the display adapter
in the computer. It s also used by a HDTV to
identify its maximum resolution to the DVD
player, A/V receiver or video processor.
1. Disconnect the HDMI to 3G-SDI Converter
from the the HDMI source and the display
and make sure the power adapter is not
plugged in.
2. Set the converter's EDID pin down.
3. Connect your display to the converter

HDMI connector.
4. Turn on your display if it's not already on.
5. Plug in the converter's power adapter to
power up the converter. The HDCP and 3G
LEDs will be lit, then the HD LED will flash
briefly to indicate the learning process is
complete.
