APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
All surfaces that tape will be applied to should be
sufficiently cured and free of moisture, frost, oils, dust,
dirt and other debris or contaminants that could inhibit
adhesion. Any necessary cleaning agents used should be
completely removed and/or rinsed off surfaces and
allowed to thoroughly dry. No residues of cleaning
agents should be present at time of tape installation.
Any wet method of surface preparation must be allowed
to thoroughly dry. Clean surfaces with a dry cloth as
necessary.
APPLICATION METHOD / TOOLS
Apply the tape evenly over the joint (e.g. wall sheathing,
foam insulation boards) or overlap seams (e.g. house
wraps). Smooth out wrinkles in tape during installation.
Applying more pressure yields more surface contact, and
therefore, creates a better bond.
LIMITATIONS
UV resistant for up to a maximum 180 days. Ultimately,
SikaSeal®-148 Insulation Seam Tape applications
should not be left exposed.

Do not allow SikaSeal®-148 Insulation Seam Tape to
form voids or buckle as it is applied.

replacement of this product exclusive of any labor costs.
