Adjust antenna for best results Transmission range with a Silent Call Medallion Series transmitter is about
500 feet.
SECTION 3: CONFIGURED TRANSMITTER INSTRUCTIONS
3.1 DB1-MC INSTALLATION:
1. Locate your doorbell chime unit and remove the cover.
2. Inside the chime unit, locate the terminal block with three terminals marked FRONT, REAR and
TRANS.
3. Connections Require Secondary Transformer Voltage between 12VAC to 24VAC with doorbell button
depressed.
4. Loosen the two screws but do not disconnect the attached wires.
5. Attach the two wires from the DB1-MC as follows: Red to FRONT, yellow to REAR.
6. Tighten the two screws and tuck and excess wires out of sight. Make sure all wires are clear of the
chime mechanism.
7. Replace the chime box cover.
3.2 DB1-MC OPERATION:
1. Whenever the front (or rear, if used) doorbell button is pressed, the chimes will sound as usual, the Red
LED on the face of the doorbell transmitter will light up and the transmitter will send a signal to any
Silent Call Medallion Series Receiver activating the receiver.
2. Both the front and rear doorbell buttons will activate the doorbell transmitter with compatible chime
units.
