Si2457/Si2434/Si2415
V.90, V.34, V.32BIS ISOMODEM
®
WITH INTEGRATED GLOBAL DAA
Features
Applications
Description
The Si2457, Si2434, and Si2415 are complete two-chip modems ranging
in speed from 56,000 bps to 14,400 bps. The ISOmodem
®
chipsets utilize
Silicon Laboratories’ third-generation direct access arrangement (DAA) to
provide a globally-programmable telephone line interface with an
unparalleled level of integration. By sharing the same line-side device, a
single design can be used in all countries and for all modem speeds.
Available in two small packages, these compact solutions eliminate the
need for a separate DSP, modem controller, codec, isolation transformer,
relay, opto-isolators, clocking crystal, and 2–4 wire hybrid. The
ISOmodem provides conventional data formats with connect rates of up
to 56,000 bps, full-duplex, over the Public Switched Telephone Network
(PSTN). These devices are ideal for embedded modem applications due
to their flexibility, small footprint, and minimal external component count.
