Safety Instructions
Intended Use
The SLG 1.0 A1 USB charger adapter is intended to be
used exclusively to charge devices with a USB charger
receptacle using a 110/240 V AC socket. Any use other
than that mentioned above does not correspond to the
intended use.
The manufacturer accepts no liability if:
the USB charger adapter is not used in accordance
with the intended use;
the USB charger adapter is damaged or operated
when incomplete or modified;
devices are connected which cannot be charged via
USB. Check the documentation for the device you
wish to connect.
This is an information technology device. It may only be
used for private purposes, not for industrial or
commercial purposes.
General safety instructions
Electrical devices should not be operated by children
or people with mental or physical disabilities. Do not
allow these people to use electrical devices when not
under supervision. They may not understand that
they can be dangerous.
Small parts can represent choking hazards. Please
also note that there is a risk of suffocation if airways
are blocked by the packaging film.
If you notice any smoke, unusual noises or strange
smells, immediately unplug the USB charger adapter
from the mains socket. If this occurs the device
should no longer be used and should be inspected
by authorized service personnel.
Operational safety
Do not connect devices which contain batteries to
the USB charger adapter, as these can explode
during the charging process.
The automatic power-off feature of the USB charger
adapter does not fully disconnect the device from the
mains. Unplug it from the power outlet to fully
disconnect it from the mains.
Never open the housing of the device. Opening the
housing exposes you to lethal electric shocks.
Only use the USB charger adapter in a power socket
which is easy to access so that it can be quickly
disconnected in the event of a problem (smoke,
burning smell).
Before stormy weather and/or when there is the
danger of lightning, disconnect the USB charger from
the mains. This will protect your USB charger and the
connected device from damage due to lightning
strike.
A damaged or incorrectly installed power outlet can
cause a fire or electric shock. The USB charger
adapter should therefore only be connected to power
sockets which are undamaged, fully assembled and
properly installed.
There is also a risk of fire if the USB charger adapter
is not fully inserted into the power socket, resulting in
a loose connection.
Do not use an adapter plug or extension cable which
is damaged or that does not meet the required safety
standards.
Please also remember that children may be able to
unplug the USB charger from the power socket and
gain access to an exposed power socket.
To disconnect a cable, pull on the plug of the USB
charger adapter, not the cable. Make sure that the
cable is not kinked and is not in anyone's way.
If the USB charger adapter is exposed to broad
temperature fluctuations condensation can form and
cause moisture which can produce a short circuit. If
this occurs, use the USB charger adapter only after it
has reached the ambient temperature.
Operating Environment/Environmental
Conditions
Keep the USB charger adapter away from moisture.
Do not place any recipients containing liquids
(beverages, vases, etc.) next to the device. Avoid
vibrations, dust, heat and direct sunlight. These can
damage the charger.
