C8
If a pump is used in a permanent installation check it
re
gularly and
remove any stones or sand that
may be in the impeller.
C9 Pumps used near swimming-pools, garden ponds, etc. must have H07RNF type cable. When in-
stalling the pump you must always comply with the specific safety requirements of the country
you are in. Such as the possible compulsory use of differential leak-power switches, not ex-
ceeding 3OmA, which offers remarkable advantages for the user’s safety.
C10 In the version with electronic card (SE), act on the 3 external sensors (fig.C) to adjust the MIN /
MAX of START / STOP, as indicated below.
a) Running with regulation of LOWEST SUCTION (fig. C).
Setting the 3 sensors in the minimum position (fig C), the pump will start as soon as
the water comes
into contact with the 3 sensors, and will
continue running until the complete suction of the water
at 1mm max from the bottom .
In case of not water, the electronic system will automatically stop the motor after a predetermined
time.
b) Running with ADJUSTABLE MIN/MAX Version (fig. D).
Place the sensor STOP ref.2 (black or yellow / green) in the desired position and block the
sensor holder with the provided screw
Place the sensor ST
ART
ref.3 (blue) in the desir
ed
position and block the sensor
holder with the pro-
vided screw
Always place the sensor COMUNE - TOTAL ref.1 (brown) on the same level as the sensor STOP
ref. 2 (black or yellow / green) or on a lower level and then block the sensor holder with the pro-
vided screw
Be sure that the sensor holders have been realized in a way that they can’t be mixed up.
Should you need to remove sensors and sensor holders for cleaning / maintenance, they must be
placed back again in the same position; you have to follow the layout as above mentioned (fig.C
and fig.D) as they DON’T WORK in a different layout. So place first ref.1, then ref.2 and last ref.3.
C11Integrative instructions for special LOWEST SUCTION up to 1 mm level (LS)
The pump is already supplied with the body suitable for the special 1mm suction; as standar
d equip-
ment you also get n.3 separate suction feet, you could use to rise the suction level up to 3 mm.
For the suction of the liquid down to 1 mm must comply with the following operations:
a) if you have the GI incorporated float-switch version we would suggest to set the lever on the hou
-
sing in the MANUAL position.
b)
to prevent
the emptying of the outlet pipe, we recommend to fit a non-return valve on the outlet of
the pump itself
c) if you want to use the pump for suction up to 3 mm, place the 3-feet as indicated below:
unhook or slip the feet off their seats from the base/body (fig. A)
turn them 180° degrees and slip them in their seats until the click block (fig. B)
To come back to the use of the pump in the lowest suction running, follow these instruction in th
e
opposite direction.
I
mmediately
stop
the pump when the minimum level of suction is reached in
order
to avoid dry run-
ning of the engine.
The pumps must be positioned in such a way that the slits of the suction grid are
never blockedby
dirt, even partially.
D) MAINTENANCE
The range of pumps requires no maintenance other than regular cleaning of the suction grid of the
impeller or the replacement of the impeller itself, as directed in the instructions.
D1 Disconnect the pump from the supply.
D2 Wash with a waterjet the grid, making sure that all the dirt come out from the pump body/impeller
D3 In both versions with incorporated float-switch (GI) and electronic card (SE), remove the outer
case and clean from the dirt.
THE REPLACEMENT OF PUMP BODY, HYDRAULIC PART (IMPELLER) AND MAIN CABLE, AS
WELL AS MAIN REPAIRS MUST BE CARRIED BY EXPERTS OR QUALIFIED PERSONS, ONLY,
AND WITH SPECIAL TOOLS
INCONVENIENTS AND REMEDIES
INCONVENIENTS CAUSES REMEDY
The pump will not start - supply voltage low - check supply voltage is correct
- plug not properly - insert the plug
connected
- thermal protection - wait for the pump to
has cut out cool down
- faulty motor or - replace them
