We have spared no effort to ensure that it is among the finest HDMI switchers available.

MOON HDS-8 HDMI 1.3a Switcher Front Panel Controls Figure 1: MOON HDS-8 Front panel The front panel will look similar to Figure 1 (above). The “Standby” button places the HDS-8 into or out of operation. When operational, the blue pilot LED will illuminate. The input buttom allows you to sequentially select from one of the five HDMI inputs. Each HDMI input has an associated red LED that will illuminate when that particular input has been selected.

The MOON HDS-8 is intended for use with the MOON CP-8 Reference Surround Preamplifier/Processor. Consequently, this section will desrcibe the recommended connection scenario with the CP-8. However, you may use your HDS-8 with another Surround Preamplifier/Processor in a similar manner. 2. Connect your HDMI audio/video source components to the ‘HDMI IN’ connectors ‘1’ through ‘5’. 3.
MOON HDS-8 HDMI 1.3a Switcher Operating the HDS-8 Turning on your MOON HDS-8 for the first time: Prior to turning the HDS-8 on for the first time, make sure that all cables are properly connected to avoid any problems. To power up your HDS-8, flick the main rocker switch labeled “MAIN POWER”, located on the rear panel, to the ‘1’ (on) position. When the HDS-8 12V trigger input is connected to the CP-8: Place the MOON CP-8 into operational mode by pressing the button labelled “Standby” on its front panel.
MOON HDS-8 HDMI 1.3a Switcher Remote Control Operation You can scroll through the HDS-8’s HDMI inputs using the WRM-2 remote control that is supplied with the MOON CP-8. This is the only available function for the HDS-8 via the remote control. Press the button labelled “Input” to sequentially scroll through the five (5) available HDMI inputs.
