Creating and Editing Sessions
To create a new session in HIT Analyzer, click on the “New Session” link on top of the session list as
shown in Figure 30. To edit an existing session, click on the ID# of the session you wish to edit. Once
you complete setting all desired parameters for the session, you may save your session by clicking the
Save button on the bottom right of the screen, as shown in Figure 31.
IMPORTANT: You cannot edit a session in the HIT Analyzer once it has started.
For creating or editing a session, there are two tabs: session and players.
Session Tab
Under this tab, you are able to set all session parameters. While not all fields are required, it is
recommended that you fill in as much information as possible. A detailed list describing each parameter in
the HIT Analyzer is given below.
1. Start Date: The date on which the session occurs
2. Start Time: The time at which the session starts
NOTE: If you are creating a new session by default the time is set to the closest 5-minute interval in
the future
3. End Time: The time at which the session ends. If you are not sure what time the session ends, you can
set the end time to “TBD”
NOTE: If you are creating a new session, by default the end time is set to two hours after the start time
4. Activity: The activity the team is participating in for the session (practice, game, etc.)
NOTE: If the system is being used for a session outside of typical on-field activities that will result in
false impacts (ex. Product demonstration, equipment testing, etc.), select “demo”. All data collected
in a demo session will be invalidated, and, therefore, not shown in any future data reporting
5. Level: The session can be designated as organized or recreational
6. Sub-Group: The type of group(s) that will be participating in the session (offense only, defense only,
special teams only or all)
7. Squad: Select the groups participating from the available dropdown list
8. Opponent: A descriptive label of whom your team is playing against
9. Home or Away: Use this field to designate whether this session is occurring on your home field or at
another location
10. Season: A description of the time when the session will take place
