EQUIPMENT GUIDE - ALERT MONITOR
BATTERY CARE
The Alert Monitor comes with rechargeable batteries that are fully
charged during manufacture, but may partially discharge during
subsequent storage and shipping. Upon initial use (or after a prolonged
storage period), the batteries may require charging, and three to four full
charge/discharge cycles before reaching maximum capacity.
If the batteries will not be in use for a month or longer, Riddell
recommends that they be removed from the Alert Monitor and stored in
a cool, dry place. Actual Alert Monitor battery run-time depends upon
frequency and duration of use, user habits, and Alert indicators selected
by the user. Typical Alert Monitor battery life is one to two weeks of
normal use.
To begin use, the batteries must be installed in the Alert Monitor and
charged using the following procedure:
1) Remove the battery door by depressing the
V-latch shown with thumb(s) while sliding
the battery cover down and off the back of
the Alert Monitor.
2) Install the supplied AA rechargeable
batteries into the Alert Monitor with
positive (+) and negative (-) battery
terminals in the correct orientation as
shown.
