TROUBLESHOOTING
The following troubleshooting procedures may be used to identify and
resolve concerns regarding InSite operation. For additional assistance,
please contact Riddell Customer Service at (800) 275-5338.
ALERT MONITOR
SYMPTOMS & SOLUTIONS
SYMPTOM
POSSIBLE SOLUTION
Alert Monitor
will not power
on.
Check that batteries are installed in the correct
orientation (see Battery Care, p.19).
Batteries may be fully discharged . Connect
Alert Monitor to computer (or AC charger and
wall outlet) via the USB cable and charge using
the procedure in this manual (see Battery Care,
p.19).
If batteries fail to charge adequately, replace
with size AA nickel-metal hydride (NiMH)
rechargeable batteries (Energizer Recharge
2300 mAh, or equivalent).
Alert Monitor is
on but is not
operating
properly or the
display isn’t
normal.
Turn Alert Monitor off and then back on again.
Perform the diagnostic test on the Alert Monitor
by selecting SETTINGS
CONFIGURATIONS
USER TESTS and following the prompts
onscreen.
Alert Monitor
does not
communicate
with the Player
Management
software when
connected via
USB cable.
Disconnect Alert Monitor from computer. Turn
the Alert Monitor off and back on again. Shut
down and restart InSite Player Management
software. Reconnect Alert Monitor to
computer.
If the above steps do not work, try a different
USB cable or USB 2.0 port.
