SimpleSolutions Moisturebloc is a 6-mil virgin polyethylene fi lm for use on concrete
slabs to protect against moisture.
Installation Steps
1. Follow the fl ooring manufacturers’ installation instructions regarding site preparation and leveling
the subfl oor. Make sure the subfl oor is level, clean, dry and secure.
2. Unroll the Moisturebloc polyethylene fi lm. Cut the fi lm about 2 inches longer than the room length
on each end. Run the fi lm 2 inches up on each wall. This 2 inch perimeter running up the walls
provides a moisture-proof enclosure for the fl ooring.
3. If needed, lay a second row of fi lm alongside the fi rst with overlapped seams of 8" or more.
4. After the fl ooring is completely installed, trim the excess fi lm back to the height of the fi nished fl oor.
Do this prior to installing base boards or molding.
