Generac Portable Products 1300 PSI Pressure Washer
Problem Cause Correction
Pressure washer will not
start
1. No electrical power.
2. Motor overheats.
3. Trigger not open.
4. Low voltage.
5. Electrical defect.
1. Check Cord, receptacle, plug power,
electrical supply and circuit breaker/fuse.
2. Turn off the unit. Press trigger to relieve
pressure. Allow unit to cool about 2
minutes. It should run when you turn it
on again.
3. Pull on trigger.
4. Contact Generac Service Facility.
5. Contact Generac Service Facility.
Pressure washer does not
come up to pressure.
1. Pump is sucking air.
2. Water Inlet is clogged.
3. Pump not bled to remove
air.
4. Pump is faulty.
1. Water hose must be ½ or greater in
diameter. Make sure the water supply is
all the way on and clean. Check all
connections for leaks or blockage. Turn
off the unit, hold trigger in open position
to relieve pressure and allow air in the
system to escape. With the trigger still in
the open position, turn on the unit.
Repeat if necessary.
2. Clean water inlet screen.
3. Switch the pressure washer off, press
trigger, switch on washer while pressing
trigger. Repeat if necessary.
4. Contact Generac Service Facility.
High Pressure Spray is
irregular.
Water supply is inadequate. Turn on water to full.
