Lift Height Adjustment
Initial Adjustment
1. Park the unit on level ground.
2. Manual Lift Models: Turn the crank assembly (BB,
Figure 40) until the length between the anchor bracket
(BE) and end of the of threaded rod (BC) measures
5.5” - 6.5”.
Note: Lubricate the crank and threaded rod with oil.

3. Raise the tiller.
4. Adjust the nuts on the threaded rod (BC, Figure 41) until
the bottom tines are 5” above the ground as shown in
Figure 42.
5. Adjust the nut on the front of spring (BD, Figure 41) until
the spring is compressed to a length of 9”.

Working Adjustment
The amount of lift assist can be varied based on the depth
of tilling and the hardness of the soil. If more assist is
desired, turn the crank assemby (BB, Figure 40) clock-
wise. If more downward force is needed, turn the crank
assemby counterclockwise.
