In PeopleSoft
Enterprise appli cations, the portal registry is a tree-like str ucture in
which content references are organized, classified, and registered. It is a central
repository that defines both the structure and co nten t o f a portal through a hierarchical,
tree-like st
ructure of fold ers useful for organizing and securing content r eferences.
predecessor task A task that you must complete before you start another task.
price breaks In PeopleSo ft Strategic Sourcing, a price d iscount or surcharge that a bidder may
apply based on the quantity awarded.
price components In PeopleSoft S trategic Sourcing, the various components, such as material costs,
labor costs, shipping costs, and so on that make up the overall bid price.
price list Enables you to select products and co ndi tions for wh ich the price list applies to a
transaction. During a transaction, the system either determines the product price
basedonth
e predefined search hierarchy for th e transaction or uses the product’s
lowest price on any associated, active price lists. This price is used as the basis for
any further discounts and surcharges.
price rule The conditions that mu st be met f or adjustments t o be applied to the base price.
Multiple rules can apply when conditions of each rule are met.
price rule conditions Conditions that select the price-by fields, the values for the price-by fields, and the
operator that determines how the price-by fields relate to the transaction.
price rule key The fiel ds that are av ailable to define price rule conditions (w hich are used to match a
transaction) on the price rule.
primacy number In PeopleSoft Enterprise Campus Solutions , a number that the s ystem uses to prioritize
financial aid applications when students are enrolled in multiple academic careers and
academi
c programs at the same time. The Consolidate Academic Statistics process
uses the primacy number indicated for both the career and program at the institutional
level to determine a student’s primary career and program. The system also uses the
number
to determine the p rimary student attribute value that is used when y ou extract
data to report on cohorts. The lowest number takes p recedence.

process group In PeopleSoft Enterprise Financials, a group of application processes (performed in a
defined order) that users can init iate in real time, directly from a transaction entry page.
process definition Process definitions define each run request.

que number that identifies each process request. This value is automatically
incremented and assigned to each requested process when the process is submitted to
run.
process job You can link process definitions into a job request a nd process each request serially
or in parallel. You can also initiate subsequent processes based on the return code
fro
