role Describes
how people fit into PeopleSoft Workflow. A role is a class of users who
perform the sam e type of work, such as clerks or managers. Your business rules
typically specify what user role n eeds to do a n activity.
role user A PeopleSoft Workflow user. A person’s role user ID serves much the sam e purpose as
a user ID does in other p arts of the system . PeopleSoft Workflow uses r ole user IDs
to determ
ine how t o route work list items to users (throug h an email address, for
example) and to track the roles that users play in the workflow. Role users do not need
PeopleSoft user IDs.

run control ID A unique ID to associate each user with his or her own run control table entries.

has a separate run-level context. Because a run cannot span periods, only o ne run-level
