section In PeopleSoft Enterprise Incentive Management, a collection of in centive rules that

indicator
. For example, a service indicator that reflects nonpayment of account
balances by a student m ight result in a service impact that prohibits registration for
classes.
service indicator In PeopleSoft Enterprise Campus Solutions, indicates services that may be either
withheld or provided to an individ ual. Negative service indicators indicate holds that
prevent t
he individual from receiving specified services, such as check-cashing
privileges or registration for classes. Positive service indicators designate special
services that are provided to the individual, such as front-of-line service or special
service
s for disabled students.
session In PeopleSoft Enterprise C am pus Solutions , time elements that subdivide a term into
multipl
e time periods during which classes are offered. In PeopleSoft Enterprise
Contributor Relatio ns, a session is t he means of validating gift, pledge, membership,
or adjustment data entry . It controls access to the data entered by a specific user ID.

ns are balanced, queued, and then posted to the institution’s financial system .
Sessions must be posted to enter a matching gift o r pledge payment, to make a n
adjustment, or to process giving clu bs or acknowledg emen ts.
In Peop
leSoft Enterprise Learning Management, a single meeting day of an activity
(that is, the period of time between start and finish ti mes within a day). The session
stores the specific date, location, meeting time, and instru c tor. Sessions are used for
sched
uled training.
session template In PeopleSoft Enterprise Learning Man agement, enables you to set up common
activ
ity characteristics that may be reused while scheduling a PeopleSoft E nterprise
Learning Management activity—characteristics such as days of the week, start and
end times, facility and room assignments, instructors, and equipment. A session
patt
ern template can be attached to an activity that is being scheduled. Attaching a
template to an activity causes all of the default template informati on to populat e
the activity session pattern.
