summary tree A tree used to roll up accounts for each type of report in summary ledgers. Summary
trees enable y
ou to define trees on trees. In a summary tree, the detail values are really
nodes on a detail tree or another summary tree (known as the basis tree). A summ a ry
tree structure specifies the details on which the summary trees are to be b uilt.

generates accounting entries for the general ledger.
system sourc
e
The system so
urce identifies the source of a transaction row in the database. For
example, a transaction that originates in PeopleSoft Enterp rise Expenses contains a
system source code of BEX (Expenses Batch).
When People
Soft Enterpr ise Project Costing prices the source tran saction row fo r
billing, the system creates a new ro w with a sy stem source code of PRP (Project
Costing pricing), which represents the system source of the new row. System
source code
s can identify sources that are internal or external to the PeopleSoft
Enterprise system. For example, processes that import data from Microsoft Project
into Peop leSoft Enterp rise applications create transaction rows with a source code
of MSP (Mic
rosoft Pro ject) .
TableSet A means of sharing similar sets of values in control tables, where the actual data values
are diffe
rent but the structure of the tables is the same.
TableSet sharing Shared data that is stored in many tables that are based on the same TableSets. Tables

ableSet sharing contain the SETID field as an additional key or unique
identifier.
