Displaying Causes and Inputs
To display the causes or inputs of a data cube:
1. Select a data c
ube whose causes or inputs you want to display.
• To select seve
ral consecutive data cubes, hold down the S
HIFT key and select the data cubes.
• To select a seri
es of nonconsecutive data cubes, hold down the C
TRL key and select the data cubes.
2. Select Tools, A
nalytic Model, Causes.
3. Select one of th
ese options:
• Direct Causes.
• All Causes.
• All Inputs.
When applicabl
e,theCausesandEffectsdialogboxdisplays the causes or inputs of the data cube.
Youexpandany
of the data cubes in the dialog box to view their attached dimensions.
Note. The All Inputs option does not display the INPUT built-in function.
4. Click Close when you have finished viewing the c auses or inputs.
Note. You can also display c auses and inputs by using the Causes and Effects Tool.

Displaying Effects
To display the effects of a data cube:
1. Select a data cu
be whose effects you want to d isplay.

TRL key and select the data cubes.
2. Select Tools, A
nalytic Model, Effects.
3. Select one of th
ese options:
• Direct Effects
.
•AllEffects.
The Causes and E
ffects dialog box displays either the direct effects or all (direct and indirect)
effects of the d
ata cube. You expand any of the data cubes in the dialog box to view their attached
dimensions.
4. ClickOKwhenyo
u have finished viewing the effects.
Note. You can also display effects by using the Ca uses and Effects tool.
