WARNING
DO NOT adjust the tractor for a faster overall speed
forward or reverse than it was designed for.
Checking Tire Pressures
Tire pressure should be checked periodically, and maintained
at the levels shown in the Specifications chart. Note that these
pressures may differ slightly from the "Max Inflation" stamped
on the side-wall of the tires. The pressures shown provide proper
traction and extend tire life.
Mowing Height Adjustment
The cutting height adjustment pin (A, Figure 36) controls the
mower cutting height. The cutting height is adjustable between
1-3/4” (4,4 cm) and 5” (12,7 cm) in 1/4” (0,64 cm) increments.
36
1. Depress the deck lift foot pedal (B) until it locks into the 5”
(12,7 cm) position.
2. Place the cutting height adjustment pin in the desired cutting
height.
3. Depress the deck lift foot pedal then push the lock lever (C)
towards the right to release the lock.
4. Release the deck lift foot pedal until it comes to rest against
the cutting height adjustment pin.
Rear Roller Bar Height Range Adjustment
The rollers on this zero-turn unit are not intended to ride on the
ground and the roller should NOT be adjusted so that the rollers
ride on the ground. Rollers riding on the ground could damage
the turf and/or the unit. The height range of the rear roller bar
needs to be adjusted in relation to the cutting height of the mower
deck. The rear roller bar is adjusted by changing the holes that
the hair pins are installed in the roller support shaft.
If the desired cutting height is lower than 2.00", the roller
should be removed from the mower deck and not used
when cutting or it will damage the turf and/or the unit.
1. Fully depress the deck lift pedal until the mower deck locks
in the TRANSPORT position.
2. Determine the desired cutting height for the mower deck.
3. Using the "Cutting Height & Roller Bar Adjustment" Chart
(Figure 37) to determine the correct roller bar height range.
37
*N/R = Not Recommended: The roller should not be used if the cutting
height is set within this range.
4. Remove the hair pins (A, Figure 38) from the roller support
shaft (B) and position the roll support shaft to the correct
height range as indicated in the chart and reinstall the hair
pins.
