set vlan name
Creates a VLAN and assigns a number and name to it.
Syntax
set vlan vlan-num name name
Defaults
VLAN 1 is named default by default. No other VLANs have default
names.
Access
Enabled.
Usage
You must assign a name to a VLAN (other than the default VLAN) before
you can add ports to the VLAN.
It is recommended that you do not use the name default. This name is already used
for VLAN 1. It is also recommended that you do not rename the default VLAN.
You cannot use a number as the first character in the VLAN name. It is
recommended that you do not use the same name with different capitalizations for
VLANs. For example, do not configure two separate VLANs with the names red
and RED.
VLAN names are case-sensitive for RADIUS authorization when a client roams
to a UNIVERGE WL Controller. If the UNIVERGE WL Controller is not
configured with the VLAN of the client, but is configured with a VLAN with the
same spelling but different capitalization, authorization for the client fails. For
example, if the client is on VLAN red but the UNIVERGE WL Controller to
which the client roams has VLAN RED instead, RADIUS authorization fails.
