Parameters
1Temperature
Enterthetemperatureifthisisknowntoyou.Tondthistemperature,youwillneed
adedicatedinstrument.WhenthistemperatureisknowntotheEK60itwillbeused
tocalculatetheabsorption,andtheechograminformationwillbemoreaccurate.
2Salinity
Usethisspinboxtoselectsalinityinpartsperthousands(ppt).Ifyouoperatein
freshwater,setsalinityto0(zero).
3SoundSpeed
Setthecurrentsoundspeed.
aCalculate
Clickthisoptionifyouwishtheechosoundertocalculatethesoundspeed
valuebasedonthespeciedtemperature.

Clickthisoptionifyouwishtoenterthesoundspeedmanually.Usethespin
box.
4Absorption
Selectthefrequencyinthetopspinbox,andreadthecorrespondingabsorption
