ThisisthecurrentprotocolspeciedfortheLANport.EachLANportcanreceive
multipletelegramssimultaneously,providedthatthetelegramsallusethesame
protocol.
8Sensor
Thiscolumnisusedtoidentifytheexternalsensorcurrentlyconnectedtothelocal
areanetworkcommunication.
9Add
ClickthisbuttontoaddanewLAN(Ethernet)port.
Thisisrequiredifyouhaveaddednewhardwaretothecomputer,forexample
byinstallinganextraEthernetinterfaceboard.Ifyouhavepreviouslyreleased
anunusedLANport,butwishtobringitbacktoEK60use,youmustalsoclick
thisbutton.
10Remove
OncetheEK60hasidentiedandlistedalltheavailableLANportsonthecomputer,
thesecannotbeusedbyanyothersoftwareapplicationsonthesamecomputer.
IftheEK60doesnotneedaspecicLANport,itcanbereleasedforotheruse.Click
ontheapplicableporttoselectit,thenclicktheRemovebuttontodeletetheportfrom
thelist.Notethatnoacknowledgementisrequired,theportisremovedinstantly.
11Setup
InordertouseaLAN(Ethernet)porttoreceiveortransmitinformation,its
communicationparametersmustbesetuptomatchtheperipheraldevice.
Clickoneofthelistedportstoselectit,thenclicktheSetupbuttontosetuptheport
parameters.Adedicateddialogisprovided.

12Monitor
Ifyoususpectthatthecommunicationontheportisineffective,faultyormissing,
youcanmonitortheowoftelegrams.
Clickoneofthelistedportstoselectit,thenclicktheMonitorbuttontoobservethe
