slightlyshallower.Forthisreason,theEK60isbydefaultsetuptogiveyouadepth
readingafewmillisecondsbeforethepeakofthepulse.Thisisdonebysettingthe
bottombackstepleveltoadefaultvalueof-50dB(B).
Theactualbottomwillneverappearatthepeakofthebottompulse(A),itwill
alwaysbeslightlybeforethepeak.BychangingtheBackstepMin.Levelparameter
youcanhavethebottomdetectedearlier.Thisfeaturecanforexamplebeusedwhen
youshforatsh,orwhenyouareharvestingseagrass.
