TheColourScaledialogisopenedfromtheSingleTargetPosition,SingleTargetHistogram
andColourScaleshort-cutmenus.
Purpose
ThepurposeoftheColourScaledialogistochangethedynamicrangeofthecolourscale.
Description
Thetotalnumberofcoloursusedinthe
presentationwillbedistributedbetween
theminimumandmaximumlevels
identiedinthisdialog.Valuesabove
maximumlevelareshownusingthe
“maximumlevel”colour,whilevalues
belowareshownwiththebackground
colour.
Whenthedialogislaunchedfromthe
SingleTargetPositionandtheSingle
TargetHistogramviews,thecolourscalerepresentscolourmappingforthe40Log
TVGfunction.ThisTVGfunctionisalwaysusedfortargetstrengthestimationfor
singletargets.WhenthedialogislaunchedfromtheColourScaleview,theTVG
functiondependsonwhichacousticvariableischosenfordisplayonthecorresponding
Echogramview.Thisisbecausethecolourscaleviewrepresentsthecolourmappingfor
theEchogramview.TheTVGfunctionscanbeeitherNo,20Log,or40Log.
Right-clickintheSingleTargetPosition,SingleTargetHistogramorColourScaleviews
toopentheshort-cutmenu.ClickColourScaleonthemenu,andmakethenecessary
adjustments.

DonotconfusethisdialogwiththeColoursdialog!

Usethespinboxesorsliderstosetthelevels.Alteringthemaximumorminimum
levelswillautomaticallyadjustthecolourstep.
